With a background combining high value sales and senior level recruitment, Alan entered the data industry in early 2012, joining The Ark as Head of Suppression Services, with responsibility for introducing their brand new suppression offering into the marketplace.
He later moved on to UKChanges, working with major service providers and large blue-chip organisations. Much of his time during this period was spent with heads of governance and data protection officers, developing strategies to mitigate the effects of declining data quality, on their organisation’s ability to meet ever more stringent regulatory standards.
These discussions have further strengthened his conviction that the market needs to sharpen its focus on quality. Alan is an avid adversary of poor quality suppression products, built with inaccurate data, as they generally result in lost customers. And in this post-GDPR era, the compliance implications can be catastrophic.
